What is a RSS link?
Updated over 2 months ago

A RSS link (or RSS feed) stands for “Really Simple Syndication”. Essentially it is a type of web feed that contains all the essential information about a podcast- think episode titles, descriptions, audio files, etc.

This information is used by podcast directories (such as Apple Podcasts or Spotify) to display and update the podcast’s content as new episodes are published.

Your RSS link is automatically updated when:

  • New episodes are published to your podcast.

  • Episode titles are edited.

  • Episode descriptions are edited.

  • Artwork is edited.

Your RSS link is NOT automatically updated when:

  • You switch podcast hosting platforms.

  • You change your feed URL. you will need to update your RSS feed.
