The fade tool allows for a gradual increase or decrease in audio and is available in both Podcastle’s audio editor and video editor.
To use the fade tool within the video editor:
Open your project within the video editor and separate the audio track. This will create a new pink track on the video timeline that includes your entire audio file.
Click on the audio clip and locate the fade tool, the small white circle in the top right and top left corners.
Use the slider and drag from beginning or end to fade accordingly or % adjust the fade in and fade out.

💥Tips & Tricks💥
Fading in is commonly used at the start of a track or audio clip to create a smooth transition from silence to sound. This can also help to gently introduce background or intro music or a voiceover.
Fading out is does the opposite, gradually reducing the audio volume from full to silence. Fading out is often used at the end of a track or clip to signal the end or to make the audio feel like it’s slowly disappearing. Fading out can make the end of a podcast or segment sound more natural or help transition smoothly to another section.
