How do I add music and SFX to my audio project?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Podcastle’s Audio Editor includes a royalty-free library of over 7,000 top-quality music and sound effects (SFX) tracks that you can add to your projects.

How to add music or SFX to your project:

  1. In the Audio Editor, click on the Music & SFX folder inside your project.

  2. Search for a genre (e.g. metal), mood (e.g. upbeat), instrument (e.g. banjo), specific song, or sound effect (e.g. footsteps, whoosh).

  3. Hover over a clip to reveal the play button and listen.

  4. To add the clip to your project, just drag and drop it or select + Add to track.

💥Tips & Tricks💥

  • Publishing your recording to YouTube? Don’t forget to copy the license code and include it in the YouTube description.

  • Want to add your own music to your project? You can upload it from within the audio editor.

  • Use the fade tool to gradually bring the music up to full volume, then fade-out to gently reduce the volume at the end of a track.

  • When adding music to the beginning of a project, we recommend slightly overlapping the music with the audio track to create a smooth, engaging start that captures the listener's attention and sets the tone.
