After generating your subtitles, you have the ability to edit the subtitle text and use the search function to search and replace specific words or phrases.
Editing subtitle text:
Open the Subtitles panel and double-click on the text segment you want to edit.
The segment will highlight, and you can edit it just like you would in a word doc.
Click the three dots menu on any subtitle segment to:
Detach → Change the style or animation for just that piece of text.
Hide → Temporarily hide that subtitle without deleting it.
Delete → Remove that specific subtitle section.
You can also:
Add new lines or extra text.
Merge segments together for smoother subtitles.
On the right-hand side, you’ll find options to adjust subtitle styles (fonts, colors, sizes) and add animations.
Using the subtitle search tool:
The search function is perfect for fixing common transcription errors or making quick edits across the whole video.
Open the Subtitles panel and click the search icon.
Enter the word or phrase you want to find, then type what you’d like to replace it with.
Choose Replace (just the selected instance) or Replace All (all matching words in the project).
💥Tips & Tricks💥
Each subtitle segment has a 150-character limit.
Deleting all the text in a segment won’t delete the video itself - only the on-screen text for that part.
Use Detach sparingly to keep styling consistent, unless you want to emphasize certain moments.
