The video editor includes Basic Editing tools that are designed to provide full control over your video content.

To access the basic editing tools:

  1. Open a video project and click on the video track.

  2. A toolbar will appear in the top right corner of your account. Select Basic Editing.

3. Here, you have access to four basic tools:

  • Scale. Adjust the size of the video. You can use the slider or type a percentage into the textbox.

  • Position. Move the video within the frame by adjusting its placement along the X (horizontal) and Y (vertical) axes.

  • Rotate. Adjust the orientation of the video by rotating it along a central axis.

    • Type a number into the textbox to rotate the image.

    • You can also select the flip horizontal or flip vertical buttons here to rotate the video.

  • Opacity. Adjust the transparency level of the video, allowing you to control how visible or transparent that layer appears. This is a helpful tool when layering videos, images, and text within your project.

4. Click the undo button (or use the keyboard shortcut) to undo any changes or click Reset all to undo all changes made within the basic editing tool.

After clicking on your video or selecting the video track, you may also notice a toolbar located at the top of the screen, which provides four different options.

  1. Fit. Automatically resizes to fill the frame as closely as possible while maintaining its original aspect ratio.

  2. Crop. Trim or cut out specific parts of the video. Select the crop button and drag the edges of the video to crop it. Once it has reached your desired size, click the checkmark to save the changes.

  3. Duplicate. Creates an exact copy of a video.

  4. Delete. Removes the video.
