Amplifying volume within the audio editor refers to increasing the loudness or intensity of the sound in an audio track. When the volume is amplified, the overall sound waves are boosted, making the audio louder without altering its content. This can be helpful if certain parts of the recording are too quiet or if the entire track needs to match a desired volume level.
To amplify the volume of a track:
Indicate the track you wish to amplify and click the three dots in the top right corner of the track.
Select Show Options.
A menu will pop up on the right side. Toggle on Amplifier and adjust via the sliding scale or by manually selecting a percentage. Here you can also adjust the track’s overall volume, change pan, and add effects such as the compressor and equalizer.
