The magnet tool helps align audio clips with precision by automatically “snapping” or “magnetizing” them together with just one click. This tool is particularly useful for tasks that require precise timing, such as:

  • Aligning clips: When moving an audio clip on the timeline, it will snap to the closest beat, marker, or specific point, ensuring accurate placement.

  • Cutting & editing: While cutting or trimming your audio, the magnet tool helps snap to specific points, making it easier to trim precisely without small gaps.

  • Synchronizing multiple tracks: If you're working with multiple audio layers, the magnet tool helps keep them in sync by snapping them together at designated points.

Using the Magnet Tool

  1. Use your cursor to select the clips from which you want to remove the spaces.

  2. Once selected, the editing toolbar will appear at the bottom of the editor.

  3. Click on the Magnet button, and the clips will come together, leaving no empty spaces in between.

The magnet tool works well in conjunction with Podcastle’s trim tool and fade tool, allowing you to quickly make edits and streamline the editing process.
