Clip snapping makes it easy to align clips on a timeline by automatically "snapping" or magnetically attaching them to certain points. When clip snapping is enabled, the edges of a clip will automatically align with markers, other clips, or key points as you drag them close.

To use the snap clip tool:

  1. Within the video editor, select Clip snapping, located on the far right side of the timeline tools.

    1. You can also use the keyboard shortcut by clicking “N” on your keyboard.

  2. A guideline till appear to easily guide individual clips together, leaving no empty spaces in between.

💥Tips & Tricks💥

Snap clipping is helpful for many reasons, several of which include:

  • Precise Alignment: Ensure that clips meet exactly where you want them, without any gaps or overlaps.

  • Faster Editing: Eliminate the need to manually fine-tune the position of each clip.

  • Improved Flow: Helps maintain a smooth flow in your video by making transitions between clips seamless.

This feature is particularly useful when arranging multiple clips, aligning audio to video, or syncing video clips to background music.
