Can I join the studio from multiple devices?
Updated over a month ago

To join a Podcastle Studio from multiple devices, the process depends on the host’s plan.

  • Basic Plan Host: If the host is using the Basic plan subscription, neither the host nor their guest (even if the guest has a Pro account) can join from multiple devices. Only one device can be used for recording.

  • Paid Plan Host: If the host is subscribed to a Storyteller or Pro plan, both the host and their guests can join from multiple devices, regardless of the guest’s plan.

Join using multiple devices as a host:

  1. Ensure you are subscribed to the Storyteller or Pro plan.

  2. Enter the recording studio on your first device. This device will act as your “host device”.

  3. Enter the recording studio on your second device, which will act as a “guest device”.

  4. All devices will sync, allowing you to record from different angles or capture higher-quality video/audio.

Join using multiple devices as a guest:

  1. Confirm if your host is subscribed the Storyteller or Pro plan.

  2. The host will provide a studio link for joining.

  3. Enter the recording studio on each device (e.g., a phone and a webcam).

  4. All devices will sync, allowing you to record from different angles or capture higher-quality video/audio.

💥Tips & Tricks💥

  • There can only be one “host device” in the recording studio. If a host connects more than one device to the studio, all other devices will be added as a “guest device”.

  • If the host has connected multiple devices and the first host device is dropped from the studio, the host’s second (”guest”) device will become the host after refreshing.
