In order to manage the flow and technical aspects of the recording, it is essential for a podcast host to have more studio controls than a guest. This allows the host to monitor audio quality, adjust levels, start and stop the recording, and handle any technical issues without interrupting the guest's performance.
Host Center Controls:
These are the action buttons located on the bottom of the studio.
Start/Stop recording
This feature allows the host to begin or end the recording session. To begin use this control:
Click the red Record button to begin the recording session. Both you and your guests will receive a 5 second countdown before the recording begins.
When you are ready to stop recording, click the red Stop button and confirm your selection.
Mute/Unmute
Mute or unmute your device. Click the dropdown menu to:
Change the microphone or speaker
Toggle off echo cancellation.
Turn Off/On
Turn your camera on or off. Click the dropdown menu to change the camera you wish to use, if applicable. Check out this information on how to connect multiple devices.
Screen share
Share your screen with recording participants (*NOTE: Both hosts and guests have the ability to screen share within the studio).
Highlight
Highlight segments during recording to mark 10 second video snippets as you record.
After highlighting a clip, you'll receive timestamp confirmation.
The length of each highlight can easily be adjusted later in the editing process.
💥Heads up💥 As of December 1, 2024, the highlight tool is temporarily unavailable within the video editor but will be reinstated shortly.
Additional Host Icons:
These are the icons located in the far right corner of your screen.

Record content seamlessly by displaying a teleprompter directly on the screen. (*NOTE: Only the host can see the teleprompter).
