How do I record with guests on the web platform?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Inviting guests to join your recording session on Podcastle is quick and easy.

Just make sure you’ve created a Studio first; this is where all your recordings will be hosted. If you don’t have one yet, here’s how to create and edit a studio.

You also have the option to schedule your recording in advance, which can be helpful for coordinating with guests ahead of time.

Here’s how to record with guests from the web platform:

  1. Log into your Podcastle account.

  2. Click Create → Recording to open your recording studio, or click on Studios and Enter studio.

    Start recording
  3. Enter your Recording title, Name and Role.

  4. If you’d like to customize your studio (e.g. add your name, logo, or a session title), click the Customize button. When you're done, click Save to enter the waiting room. If you skip customization, you’ll be taken to the waiting room automatically.

  5. In the waiting room, copy the Invite link to share with your guests, or invite them directly via email.

  6. Once your guests have joined, click Record to begin your session.

  7. When you're finished, click Stop Recording and end the session.

  8. Podcastle saves each participant’s audio and video as separate tracks to make editing easier. You'll find individual files for both audio and video.

  9. After the upload is complete, click Edit Video or Edit Audio to start working on your project.

💥Tips & Tricks💥

  • You have the option to download all the files, both audio and video, in the interview by clicking on the Download All button.

  • If a participant's recording hasn't been uploaded entirely or there are issues, a message will appear in your files indicating whose recording has failed, along with a recovery link. You can first retry uploading it yourself by clicking on Retry. If it doesn't work, you can send this link to the participant, and they will be able to complete the upload.
